What our clients say

Our

Mission

The mission of Sarah K. Katz DMD PLLC is to improve our patients’ quality of life through education, prevention, and the best quality dental treatment that we can provide.
Our vision is to do Ideal Dentistry for those who want it. We believe that everyone deserves ideal dentistry and if they don’t know about all the possibilities available to them, then we aren’t doing our jobs right. We are fulfilling this mission and vision by educating ourselves with countless CE hours, communicating well with our patients, training our team so we are all on the same page, having multiple financial options, and being fee-for-service so that our dentistry is not limited by insurance companies dictating treatment.
We use pictures that tell a thousand words and videos to help educate our patients. We have a clinical standard of care we all follow. We have protocols that we all understand and follow so that each of us communicates the same thing to every patient. This way, no matter which provider you see in our practice, you will hear the same message at each visit and the same philosophy from each person.

Our

Values

We understand people come to us with extreme anxiety! We make specific accommodations purposely for anxiety but also for those of us with sensory issues or those on the spectrum and any other issues. If you don’t notice what we did but feel comfortable anyway, then we did our job right. We care and we work at it. If we don’t meet your needs please don’t hesitate to let us know, we are always on the lookout to improve.

Our

Team

Bow Family Dentistry lead dentist Sarah Katz, DMD

Sarah K. Katz, DMD

Dr. Katz graduated dental school in 1994 and has been loving what she does every day since! She grew up in West Lafayette IN on the campus of Purdue University. She moved to RI for high school and college, and graduated with honors from University of Rhode Island, Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. A professor at URI and a stong influence in her life, her Dad had always told her if you love what you do, you never have to work a day in your life.

Dr. Katz has been enjoying the practice of dentistry for 30 years after graduating valedictorian at Rutgers Dental School (University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey) with many awards. She then did a general practice residency (GPR) also in New Jersey at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. Married to another dentist for 30 years with 3 grown daughters, Dr. Katz spends her spare time with her family, reading, doing yoga, traveling, hiking and biking, and drooling over every dog she sees.

Jordan Rucinski, DMD

Dr. Rucinski received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Louisville. Born in Rhode Island, but raised in Michigan, Dr. Rucinski is thrilled to call New England home once more. Now a veteran, she spent the first portion of her career as a dentist in the United States Navy, where she practiced in both Connecticut and Guam. Dr. Rucinski’s military service allowed her to receive outstanding mentorship, most notably from a Navy Prosthodontist who fueled her passion for CEREC dentistry and the detailed artistry of crafting beautiful, natural smiles using the latest technology. This led her to serve as Naval Hospital Guam’s subject matter expert for CEREC digital dentistry, educating and training all fellow dentists on this subset of care.

Inspired by her experience living around the country and the world, Dr. Rucinski spends her free time entertaining a diverse collection of hobbies. In Guam she was most commonly found training Muay Thai, leading her women’s hiking group and scuba diving. In New England, she enjoys biking, reading, gardening and eating all the lobster she can get!
