We understand people come to us with extreme anxiety! We make specific accommodations purposely for anxiety but also for those of us with sensory issues or those on the spectrum and any other issues. If you don’t notice what we did but feel comfortable anyway, then we did our job right. We care and we work at it. If we don’t meet your needs please don’t hesitate to let us know, we are always on the lookout to improve.
Dr. Katz graduated dental school in 1994 and has been loving what she does every day since! She grew up in West Lafayette IN on the campus of Purdue University. She moved to RI for high school and college, and graduated with honors from University of Rhode Island, Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. A professor at URI and a stong influence in her life, her Dad had always told her if you love what you do, you never have to work a day in your life.
Dr. Katz has been enjoying the practice of dentistry for 30 years after graduating valedictorian at Rutgers Dental School (University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey) with many awards. She then did a general practice residency (GPR) also in New Jersey at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. Married to another dentist for 30 years with 3 grown daughters, Dr. Katz spends her spare time with her family, reading, doing yoga, traveling, hiking and biking, and drooling over every dog she sees.
Dr. Rucinski received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Louisville. Born in Rhode Island, but raised in Michigan, Dr. Rucinski is thrilled to call New England home once more. Now a veteran, she spent the first portion of her career as a dentist in the United States Navy, where she practiced in both Connecticut and Guam. Dr. Rucinski’s military service allowed her to receive outstanding mentorship, most notably from a Navy Prosthodontist who fueled her passion for CEREC dentistry and the detailed artistry of crafting beautiful, natural smiles using the latest technology. This led her to serve as Naval Hospital Guam’s subject matter expert for CEREC digital dentistry, educating and training all fellow dentists on this subset of care.
Inspired by her experience living around the country and the world, Dr. Rucinski spends her free time entertaining a diverse collection of hobbies. In Guam she was most commonly found training Muay Thai, leading her women’s hiking group and scuba diving. In New England, she enjoys biking, reading, gardening and eating all the lobster she can get!
